In 1986, Michael O'Hara opened Dudley Contract Cleaners, a modest outfit servicing small, local businesses, based in Newcastle upon Tyne .

Working from an office at home, Michael was instrumental in the steady growth of the company and it's ever expanding client list, covering a large area of Tyne and Wear.

Persistent growth during the 1990's lead eventually to the company launching a major expansion programme by acquiring a rival company in Spring of 2000. This enabled the successful cleaning services company to expand its services around the North East and into the Durham and Teeside areas, as well as having clients in Newcastle . The merging of the two companies ensured DCS' place as a leader amongst professional cleaning services companies.

Today, the company is still growing with the completion of an extension to its Head Office at DCS House, based in the heart of the North East in Newcastle . The premises now include training facilities ensuring that all current and new employees have the opportunity, after induction training, to continue with the on-going training programme, to further ensure a professional office cleaning service is delivered. Managers and Supervisors are constantly trained and updated in all aspects of health and safety, risk assessment and customer relation skills.
